Mzwandile Stick did not mince his words when asked whether the Du Preez twins – Jean-Luc and Daniel – still have a future with the Springboks.
The Du Preez twins were involved in Rassie Erasmus’ first Test series as Springbok head coach against England back in June 2018, but have struggled to feature for the national side ever since.

Both brothers were given a surprise recall for the South Africa ‘A’ squad that faced Munster in Cork and after coming through that game with flying colours, are set to feature against Bristol on Thursday.
Speaking during Monday’s press conference, SA A coach Stick was assured that the Du Preez brothers could still feature for the Springboks, despite being constantly overlooked in the Erasmus-Nienaber era.
“Those guys are going to play big games in the future. No doubt at all,” said Stick. “Every time they get an opportunity they put their hands up.
“I know they aren’t in the mix with the Springboks but you can never question their potential and how they play the game. They always bring massive physical impact in the game and you saw it last week.
STICK: Sacha, Williams can prove Bok case
“Jean-Luc was one of the key players and gave us good momentum. When he came on, Dan had a good impact with ball-in-hand. When we needed to defend, they made some physical tackles in the game.
“I have no doubt at all that they will play some Test matches in the future,” added Stick. “I know that they have a bright future.”
