Blue Bulls loose forward Jacques du Plessis has recovered from a broken jaw and is fit to face Western Province at Newlands this weekend.
Du Plessis, who has been sidelined since breaking his jaw against Namibia in a Currie Cup warm-up match, has made a full recovery and took part in training on Monday.
A number of players are still feeling the effects of Saturday's Jukskei derby, and sat out the training session. Sampie Mastriet (hip contusion) and JJ Engelbrecht (rib contusion) are expected to train on Tuesday, but prop Dean Greyling will have to pass a fitness test on Thursday if he is to take his place in the front row against Province.
Mornè Mellett (knee), Bjorn Basson (ankle) and Tian Schoeman (ankle) are all nearing a return to fitness, although they won't be considered for selection this week.
The Bulls are already playing catch-up in Currie Cup Section X, after both the Lions and Western Province claimed bonus-point victories in their first outings.
