Scarra Ntubeni and Pat Cilliers have been ruled out for the rest of the Stormers' tour with injuries.
The two forwards have already returned to Cape Town, joning Rynhardt Elstadt on the lengthy injury list. Ntubeni has torn a calf muscle and could be out of action for as long as five weeks, while Cilliers (rib cartilage) may be on the sideline for six weeks.
To make matters worse, Frans Malherbe (broken toe) and Michael Rhodes (shoulder) sustained injuries in the battle against the Crusaders and are in doubt for the clash with the Chiefs.
Boland prop Martin Dreyer will fly over as injury cover and negotiations are presently underway with Griquas to secure Martin Bezuidenhout as cover at hooker.
The Stormers are hopeful that fullback Jaco Taute will recover from a shoulder injury to play against the Chiefs.
