Dillyn Leyds will start at flyhalf and will captain Western Province in their final Currie Cup pre-season game against Montpellier on Thursday.

Leyds takes the armband from Scarra Ntubeni, who led the team to a 59-14 victory over Narbonne recently. A host of changes have been made ahead of the clash in Millau.

Leyds is partnered at halfback by experienced scrumhalf Jano Vermaak, with Dan Kriel and JJ Engelbrecht in midfield. SP Marais moves to fullback, with Sergeal Petersen and Craig Barry outside him on the wings.

Ramone Samuels has been backed at hooker, with props Michael Kumbirai and Ali Vermaak either side of him. In the second row, JD Schickerling replaces Ernst van Rhyn while Kobus van Dyk comes in for Johan du Toit in the loose trio.

WP will be up against a Montpellier squad that includes the likes of Bismarck and Jannie du Plessis as well as Jan Serfontein, Frans Steyn and Johan Goosen.
