Defending Community Cup champions Despatch scored four tries in a 31-5 win over the Mossel Bay Barbarians on Saturday.

Monty Dumond coverted his own try and those of Basil de Doncker, Renier Erasmus and Stephan Deyzel, as well as nailing a penalty.

The guests could only manage one five-pointer through wing Logan Hendricks.

In a Cape derby, Hamiltons travelled to Malmesbury to face Wesbank, who conceded seven tries in going down 41-12. 

Further up country, College Rovers ran in 12 tries to defeat the Bloemfontein Crusaders 78-14 at the Clive Solomon Stadium in  Heidedal. Winger Dusty Noble scored  two of the winners’ tries.
