Munster have confirmed that centre Damian de Allende has been ruled out for “a number of weeks” due to an abdominal injury.
The South African missed Munster’s United Rugby Championship win over Ulster and last weekend’s victory over Castres in the Champions Cup after picking up the injury.
And it has now been revealed that he won’t return to action when Munster travel to Wasps this weekend as he will be sidelined for several weeks.
Springbok lock RG Snyman (knee) is another who remains on Munster’s injury list.
In better news, Munster will reintroduce utility forward Jason Jenkins and flank Chris Cloete into team training this week.
Jenkins has been out with an abdominal injury, while Cloete has been sidelined with a neck issue.
