A bonus-point victory for the Pumas over the EP Kings in Nelspruit could see them draw level with Griquas in the Currie Cup Qualifier standings.
Griquas come into round 12 with a five-point lead over the Pumas, but the table toppers face a tricky fixture against the Sharks XV.
The Pumas host the struggling Kings at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday and if they manage to secure maximum log points and the Sharks XV derail Griquas, the top two non-Super Rugby unions could draw level on 41 points.
The Boland Cavaliers play the lowly Welwitchias and a victory of any kind will keep them in third and the final qualification spot. A Boland loss, however unlikely, could benefit the Griffons and SWD Eagles who are 10 points adrift of that last qualification place. The Griffons are at home against the Free State XV and the Eagles welcome the Blue Bulls to George.
In other qualifying fixtures, the Golden Lions XV are back in action against the Leopards following their bye last week and the Valke will take on high flying Western Province.
