Danny Cipriani’s decision to leave Bath makes Curwin Bosch an even more attractive recruit for new coach Johann van Graan.
Cipriani (34) said on Friday he will leave the English Premiership club at the end of the season before moving abroad.
“My last couple games in England are fast arriving!” the England flyhalf posted on Instagram. “I’ve decided to move on to experience a new country and make great memories with my family …”
Bosch has been previously linked with a move to Bath, where the Sharks playmaker’s accurate kicking game would suit the percentage tactics likely to be employed under Van Graan’s management that includes former Sharks defence coach Brent Janse van Rensburg.
By joining Bath, Bosch would also link up with ex-Sharks scrumhalf Louis Schreuder, along with SA flank Chris Cloete and Wesley White, son of Jake White.
Bosch is reportedly under contract with the Sharks until 2023, but reports suggests there is a clause in his contract that would allow him to void the final year.
