The Cheetahs have been dealt a big blow with news that Heinrich Brüssow will not be available for the derby against the Sharks.

Brüssow is battling a groin injury and has been ruled out of Saturday's game in Bloemfontein. The openside flanker has been an important player for the Cheetahs in recent months, and they will miss him at the breakdown against a team like the Sharks.

While they may go into this game without a genuine openside option, loose forwards Philip van der Walt and Jean Cook have recovered from their respective injuries. Oupa Mohoje, who made his debut for the Springboks last week, will also be available.

Bok flyhalf Johan Goosen and prop Coenie Oosthuizen are also expected to face the Sharks.
