Brumbies ran Sunwolves ragged

The Brumbies’ attack was too hot to handle as they cruised to a 66-5 win over the Sunwolves, according to SARugbymag.co.za's Opta-powered stats.

It was one-way traffic in Canberra. The Brumbies ran the Sunwolves ragged, with the Aussies scoring 10 tries, making 824m to 229, beating 23 defenders to nine and completing 10 clean breaks to one.

The Sunwolves have had the worst tackle success rate in the competition (80.3%), and the Brumbies once again made them pay for their disorganisation on defence, with some nifty interplay leading to a number of tries. The visitors also missed 23 tackles.

Christian Leali'ifano ran proceedings impressively from flyhalf for the Brumbies, making 90m and beating three defenders, while also slotting eight conversions out of 10 for a personal haul of 16 points.
