Springbok prop Thomas du Toit will captain a Sharks team featuring five changes for the Vodacom United Rugby Championship match against Dragons in Durban on Friday.
Following last week’s loss to Edinburgh, Sharks head coach Sean Everitt has freshened up his team, making five changes, four of those to his pack.
Siya Kolisi, who took over the captaincy after Lukhanyo Am headed to Japan for a short sabbatical, will play off the bench this weekend, meaning vice-captain Thomas du Toit will lead the team out at Kings Park.
Kolisi’s place is taken by James Venter, who is joined in a new-look back row by blindside flank Jeandre Labuschagne and No 8 Phepsi Buthelezi.
The other change to the pack comes in the second row as Le Roux Roets gets a start in Reniel Hugo’s place.
Jaden Hendrikse replacing Grant Williams at scrumhalf is the only change to the backline.
