Springbok anchor Vincent Koch has agreed to join French Top 14 side Stade Francais as a medical joker, ending widespread speculation around his future.
Koch (32), who was without a team since departing embattled English Premiership club Wasps, is one of three players brought in to reinforce the Paris outfit, along with utility backs Englishman Paolo Odogwu and Fijian Peniasi Dakuwaqa.
According to UK newspaper the Telegraph, the 38-Test-capped tighthead prop was in talks with English Premiership club Sale Sharks, and reportedly visited its training facility at Carrington on Tuesday.
Also, reports in SA had linked the former Saracens star with a move to the Cell C Sharks in Durban, as Rapport suggested he was being lined up as a replacement for fellow Bok Thomas du Toit, who is tipped to join Bath.
