The Vodacom Bulls are set to solve their tight five issues with the acquisition of a heavyweight Springbok scrum anchor next year.
According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, tighthead prop Wilco Louw will join the Bulls on a three-year deal from English Premiership club Harlequins in July.
The 28-year-old former SA Schools and SA U20 prop hails from Ceres and represented Boland at Craven Week before turning out for the Blue Bulls U19s in 2013. Louw returned to Cape Town and made 53 appearances for the Stormers between 2015 and 2020 before heading north where he represented Harlequins 44 times in the Prem.
He played the last of his 14 Tests for the Boks against Argentina at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in 2021.

In an interview with Rapport, Louw said: “I enjoyed my time at Harlequins. It was a completely different challenge, which suited me at that stage of my life.
“Now there is another good opportunity for me at the Bulls. I am excited to join them. I think the Bulls are in a good space. There are incredibly good coaches. I look forward to working with them.”
