Springbok and Leicester Tigers loose forward Jasper Wiese has been banned for two matches after he was cited for accruing multiple yellow cards.

Wiese appeared before an independent disciplinary panel after receiving his third yellow card of the season during a Boxing Day match against Bristol Bears.

The 26-year-old was previously sent to the sin bin in October against Northampton and in December against Harlequins.

Wiese will now miss Leicester’s Premiership games against Newcastle on 2 January and Wasps a week later.
