Springbok No 8 Jasper Wiese appeared before a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday night after receiving his third yellow card of the season in a Premiership clash.

Wiese was yellow-carded during Leicester’s Boxing Day away win at Ashton Gate against Bristol Bears.

That was the Springbok’s third yellow card of the 2021-22 Premiership season, which is in contravention of RFU Regulation 19.

Wiese, who accepted that he had received three yellow cards this season, appeared before an independent disciplinary panel comprising Charles Cuthbert (chair) with John Greenwood and Ollie Clark on Wednesday evening.
