SA Team of the Week (Round 2)

CRAIG LEWIS picks a form South African XV based on performances in round two of Super Rugby.

There were some encouraging results, from a South African perspective, this past weekend, with the Sharks and Kings securing wins overseas, while the Stormers and Lions picked up victories against the Jaguares and Waratahs respectively.

The Cheetahs also impressed in their defeat of the Bulls, who lseem destined for a season of despair as their once formidable pack continues to underperform.

Fullback SP Marais once again excelled for the Stormers, while Rohan Janse van Rensburg produced an inspired performance for the Lions, with the forward packs from both these teams performing well on Saturday.

Oupa Mohoje scored an important brace of tries for the Cheetahs, while youngsters Lukhanyo Am and Curwin Bosch made an impressive impact for the Sharks. For the Kings, flyhalf Lionel Cronjé played an important role with his goal-kicking.
