Clayton Blommetjies will make his first start since returning to the Cheetahs in their Currie Cup clash with the Sharks on Saturday.

Blommetjies, who left the Cheetahs for the Scarlets in 2018, will start at fullback in place of the injured Darren Adonis in one of six changes to the starting lineup.

Carel-Jan Coetzee starts on the wing and Louis Fouche will be replacing the injured Tian Schoeman at flyhalf.

Abongile Nonkontwana comes in for Marnus van der Merwe, who is also injured, with Junior Pokomela shifting to openside flank.

JP du Preez and Charles Marais come into the starting lineup with Walt Steenkamp and Ox Nche switching to the bench.
