The Blitzboks beat Canada 21-5 on Sunday to advance to the Wellington Sevens Cup final.
South Africa made an early statement in the semi-final through star player Seabelo Senatla. The defence forced the turnover, and Senatla raced more than 50m to score his 179th career try.
The winger has now equalled Fabian Juries's all-time South African record. Senatla will have the chance to break that record in the final against Fiji.
Kwagga Smith scored on the stroke of half-time to ensure that the Blitzboks went to the break with a commanding 14-0 lead. Werner Kok crossed the tryline in the second stanza to secure the victory.
Fiji beat Scotland 19-12 in the first semi-final to book their place in the decider. Fiji will battle South Africa for the title at 09:23 SA time.
Earlier on day two, the Blitzboks smashed France 45-0 in the Cup quarter-finals.
