Chile scored in extra-time to claim a come-from-behind win against Philip Snyman’s Germany and set up a round of 16 clash against the Blitzboks in the Sevens World Cup in Cape Town on Friday.
After the two teams were deadlocked at 12-12, Chile piled on the pressure in sudden death and slotted a drop goal from a penalty in front of the poles to win the pre-round of 16 match.
The South Americans will face the Blitzboks in the final match of Friday at 7.03pm.
