Bishops on the attack against Hilton Bishops
Published on June 27, 2018 | Leave a response

Bishops and Michaelhouse were the only schools to come through their matches at the Independent Schools Rugby Festival unbeaten. THEO GARRUN reports.

A total of 14 schools were in action over three days at Kingswood College in Grahamstown in a festival that closes off the season for the independent schools and which, because of its timing, has become something of a ‘stayers’ tournament with some schools leaving their matrics out and all of them missing their provincial representatives.

Bishops beat hosts Kingswood 19-10 on the opening day and followed that up with a victory over Hilton (24-17).

Michaelhouse beat St Stithians 22-17 on day one, and they accounted for St Alban’s (15-12) and St David’s (33-19).
