Victor Matfield will come off the bench for the Bulls during their warm-up match against the Stormers on Saturday.

It will be the lock's first match since the Springboks' World Cup quarter-final against the Wallabies on 9 October 2011.

The Bulls and Saru are expected to announce the return of Matfield, who is the Bulls forwards and attack coach, on Tuesday after finalising alterations to his Bulls contract.

Bulls coach Frans Ludeke is expected to select his strongest possible line-up for the match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
