Bath have confirmed the appointment of Johann van Graan and JP Ferreira as head coach and defence coach, respectively.
In a statement on Tuesday, the English club confirmed its coaching squad, which will take charge at the start of the 2022-23 European season.
As expected, Van Graan comes in as head coach, with fellow South African Ferreira joining as the team’s defence guru.
Former Wales lock Luke Charteris will continue as lineout coach as will Neal Hatley in his role as forwards coach.
The club is yet to appoint a new attack coach, but is expected to fill the position before the end of the season.
Commenting on the new appointments, Bath CEO Tarquin McDonald said: “We are pleased to confirm these appointments. Under Johann van Graan, JP Ferreira will become defence coach after successful stints at the Lions in Johannesburg and Munster in Ireland and a new attack coach will be confirmed imminently.
“The current coaching unit will continue in their posts until the end of the 2021-22 season, and the club is grateful for the continuing contributions of David Williams, Mark Lilley and Ryan Davis.
“Stuart Hooper will continue in his role as director of rugby.”
