A former sevens star who played in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship final is one of three South Africans named in the Barbarians squad to face Spain in Gijon on Saturday.
The BaaBaas have named a completely new group for this weekend after a French Top 14-laden side demolished England on Sunday at Twickenham.
Australian coach John Mulvihill takes over from 2022 Six Nations winner Fabian Galthie, while 29-Test-capped Wales centre Hadleigh Parkes has been selected as captain.
“This week’s Barbarians squad features a highly international team, comprising eight nationalities with a blend of youth and experience from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa and Tonga,” read an official statement.
