Rugby Australia is reportedly weighing up a surprise move to reappoint Eddie Jones as coach after the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
According to an article in The Telegraph, RA is evaluating the chances of bringing Jones home ahead of the next British & Irish Lions tour and 2027 Rugby World Cup.
The Australian, who will vacate his role as England head coach after eight years at the helm, has already been linked with several jobs including Racing 92 and the USA Eagles.
He previously coached the Wallabies between 2001 and 2005, the highlight of his stint guiding his countrymen to the 2003 Rugby World Cup final in Australia.

Jones was also an assistant coach for Jake White when South Africa lifted the Webb Ellis Cup in 2007 and, from 2012 to 2015, he coached Japan, leading the Asian giants to an upset win over the Springboks at the 2015 World Cup.
While the pressure has eased for Jones with England after the series victory Down Under, it is now Wallabies coach Dave Rennie who is feeling the heat after one win in six Tests.
His position is not under immediate threat as the Wallabies were racked by injuries during the series, but the New Zealander’s overall winning record of 39% with the Aussies is a concern.
