World Rugby has unveiled the winners in three of its awards categories including Try of the Year and Referee of the Year.
The Referee award, Men’s Try of the Year and Women’s Try of the Year have been awarded to Andrew Cole (Australia), Damian Penaud (France) and Emilie Boulard (France), respectively.
Springbok centre Lukhanyo Am’s try for South Africa A against the British & Irish Lions, along with Pierre-Louis Barassi’s effort for France vs Australia on 17 July and Luke Jacobson’s touchdown for New Zealand vs Argentina on 12 September, were all nominated in the Men’s Try of the Year category.
But the award went to Penaud for his try against Scotland.
Going from one 22 to another, France fashioned a score for the ages against the Scots in their delayed Six Nations match at the Stade de France.
