Israel Folau made a greater impact than Israel Dagg in the Super Rugby final in Sydney, writes JON CARDINELLI.
Folau failed to add to his 12-try tally in Saturday's match, but was still a handful for the Crusaders defence in the wider channels. He often beat the first defender and although he struggled to break clear, his carries always yielded significant gains for the Waratahs.
Folau was just as impressive under the high ball. The Crusaders tested him with a few bombs, and he managed to diffuse every single one.
Dagg's contribution was disappointing. When the Crusaders had the momentum in the second stanza, he started to play with more confidence. And yet he didn't make the metres or conjure up the magic play that may have swung the result in the Cantabrians' favour.
