The Bulls defeated the Pumas 46-38 in a highly entertaining friendly at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Friday.
Dean Greyling scored a hat-trick as the Bulls ran in six tries to complete their preparations for the upcoming Currie Cup season. Coach Frans Ludeke wouldn't have been too happy with his side's sloppy defence, but both teams showed plenty of attacking intent, which helped contribute to an open game.
The Pumas were not to be outdone though, scoring five tries of their own to the delight of the local fans. They start their Currie Cup campaign at home to the Cheetahs next week, while the Bulls make the short trip to Ellis Park for the famous Jukskei derby.
