SBW to wear special Blues jersey

Sonny Bill Williams will be allowed to wear a Blues jersey without the logos of two sponsors.

Williams taped over the Bank of New Zealand logos on his jersey's collar for the Blues' match against the Highlanders last week.

This is believed to have been due to his Muslim faith, which goes against the notion of banks charging interest and fees on loans.

According to Stuff.co.nz, Williams' new 'clean' jersey will not feature the BNZ logo on his collar, nor the Investec logo on the arm.

It is understood Williams has no issue with AIG, one of the All Blacks' main sponsors.
