Coleman blow for Stormers

Stormers flyhalf Kurt Coleman is feared to have suffered a serious knee injury in training on Tuesday.

According to Independent Media, Coleman tore his anterior cruciate ligament in a non-contact situation, and will now have to undergo surgery.

It's the sort of injury that would rule Coleman out for the remainder of the season and serve as another massive blow to a Stormers side that is already without young flyhalf Rob du Preez, who also suffered a serious knee injury earlier this season.

A Stormers spokesman told SARugbymag.co.za that no comment could be made until a full medical report was received, with the Stormers set to name their team on Wednesday for Friday's match against the Sunwolves.

Coleman's injury would likely mean that Jean-Luc du Plessis will wear the No 10 jersey.
