Matt Proctor will start on the right wing for the Hurricanes against the Reds in Brisbane on Sunday.
Proctor comes into the starting lineup ahead of Cory Jane, who drops to the bench.
In the only other change to the team that lost 29-24 to the Waratahs, Tom Marshall starts at fullback in place of Nehe Milner-Skudder, who is ruled out with a calf injury.
Meanwhile, flyhalf Beauden Barrett needs two points to overtake David Holwell's record of 676 and become the Hurricanes' all-time leading point scorer.
