Waratahs coach Michael Cheika has pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct and has received a suspended sentence.
The charge relates to an incident that happened during the Waratahs' loss against the Sharks at Kings Park in March. Cheika was found to have breached Section 8.3 (i) of the Sanzar Code of Conduct by verbally abusing a cameraman.
He has been handed a six-month ban pertaining to all forms of rugby, that has been suspended until 31 August 2015. The ban will be triggered by a subsequent proven breach of conduct.
Cheika was also ordered to write a letter of apology to the cameraman and must pay Sanzar's costs of A$6,000.
