Springbok flanker Schalk Burger will make his return for the Stormers this Saturday via the bench.
Burger injured a quad muscle ahead of the Stormers' clash with the Brumbies in round six of this year's Vodacom Super Rugby tournament, and has been sidelined ever since. This weekend's game against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein will witness a return to action.
Peter Grant replaced flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis during the early stages of last week's match against the Lions, after the latter player sustained a broken nose. It's been confirmed that Catrakilis will be sidelined for the next two weeks, and that Grant will continue in his preferred position of No 10.
Jaco Taute will start at fullback in Grant's place. There is another change to the back three, with Saliosi Tagicakibau's sternum injury providing rookie Devon Williams with an opportunity on the left wing. Williams made his Super Rugby debut from the bench last week.
Burger's return to the matchday squad sees flanker Sikhumbuzo Notshe dropping out completely. Prop Oliver Kebble comes on to the bench for Pat Cilliers, who is battling a knee injury.
Hooker Scarra Ntubeni and winger Cheslin Kolbe weren't considered because of injuries.
