In-form hosts KES and Grey PE will be the most formidable sides at this year's festival.
KES's clash against Queen's College on day two will be of particular interest as current KES headmaster David Lovatt was previously headmaster of the Eastern Cape school before heading north.
Other exciting clashes will involve Rondebosch taking on Grey PE on day three and Graeme College, who beat Michaelhouse 12-10 at the Grey PE festival, taking on Parktown Boys'.
The KES Easter rugby and hockey festival was first staged in 2002 as part of the school's centenary celebrations.
'We are extremely excited about welcoming the 36 top school teams that will be participating and competing in senior rugby, hockey and junior rugby fixtures at our 13th Easter Rugby and Hockey Festival,' Lovatt told SARugbymag.co.za. 'King Edward is honoured to provide a platform where schoolboys from around the country can showcase their talents and skills on the sports field.'
