Stormers and Western Province flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis will join Jake White's Montpellier at the end of the year.

While the 25-year-old is contracted to WP until the end of 2015, the French club could pay a transfer fee for him to join them after Super Rugby and in time for the new European season.

Catrakilis will be joined at the French club by Brumbies and Wallabies scrumhalf Nic White, who will arrive in France after the World Cup.

Catrakilis, who helped WP win the Currie Cup in 2012 and 2014, is still expected to play an important role for the Stormers this season, although Kurt Coleman will wear the No 10 jersey in their first warm-up match against the SWD Eagles in George on Saturday.
