Former Western Province fullback Scott van Breda has joined the Worcester Warriors on a one-year deal.
Van Breda made his Super Rugby debut for the Kings in 2013 before helping them earn promotion to the Currie Cup Premier Division that year. He made three appearances for the Stormers in the 2016 Super Rugby season.
The 26-year-old joins from English Championship side Jersey Reds, where he was captain since last year.
The utility back becomes Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons’ sixth signing ahead of the 2018-19 season.
‘Scott is a versatile rugby player and a very good goal-kicker. It’s a great opportunity for him to test himself at the top level and I have no doubt he will be an asset to the side’, Solomons said.
