Francois Hougaard is set to start at right wing for the Springboks against the Wallabies in Brisbane on Saturday.
Ruan Combrinck sustained a serious leg injury in the Boks' previous match against Argentina in Salta, and is unlikely to feature again in this year's Rugby Championship. According to reports from Down Under, Bok coach Allister Coetzee is set to replace Combrinck with Hougaard in the next Test against the Wallabies at the Suncorp Stadium.
Hougaard ran with the Bok starting side at training earlier this week. According to Netwerk24, the versatile player may also cover the scrumhalf position in the following game. Faf de Klerk will continue to start at No 9, but Rudy Paige is likely to be dropped from the matchday squad.
Coetzee is also set to name six forwards on his bench. Franco Mostert may be added to the reserves as the Boks look to bolster their lineout.
The Bok side will be named at 19:00 on Wednesday evening.
