Griquas coach Hawies Fourie has made three changes to his forward pack for the match against Western Province at Newlands on Saturday.
Griquas made it back-to-back victories against the Pumas last time out, but injuries have forced Fourie's hand ahead of the trip to Cape Town.
Prop Ewald van der Westhuizen is struggling with a hamstring injury, while backup front-rower Stephan Pretorius is also injured. Fourie has decided to call on the experienced Maks van Dyk to anchor the scrum this weekend.
Elsewhere in the forward pack, lock Hugo Kloppers will make his first Currie Cup start in place of Jaco Nepgen, who has been granted compassionate leave following the death of his father.
In the final change, Carel Greeff makes way for Burger Schoeman, with Ruan Lerm shifting to the side of the scrum.
