Marcel van der Merwe and Jan Serfontein will return to the Vodacom Blue Bulls’ match-day squad for Friday’s game against the Free State Cheetahs at Loftus.
Van der Merwe will start at tighthead prop in place of Werner Kruger, while Serfontein is set to play off the bench.
Scrumhalf Francois Hougaard will start at scrumhalf after missing last weekend’s match to attend a family wedding, with his return the only change to the backline.
Besides the inclusion of Van der Merwe, a couple of other changes in the pack sees fit-again Roelof Smit come in for Jannes Kirsten at flank, while Pierre Schoeman replaces injured loosehead prop Dean Greyling.
