Coenie van Wyk will start at fullback in one of two changes to the Pumas side for the match against Griquas in Kimberley on Saturday.
Van Wyk will make his first start of the season having fully recovered from injury, while JW Bell drops to the bench.
In the only other change, Reynier van Rooyen will start at scrumhalf after Dylon Frylinck was ruled out with a knee injury. The diminutive Sinovuyo Nyoka will cover the scrumhalf position from the bench.
There was some bad news, however, after Faf de Klerk was ruled out for the rest of the season with his knee injury.
The Pumas come into the match against Griquas on the back of three consecutive victories, including a comfortable 33-15 win in the reverse fixture at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
