Wales have been demoted to sixth place in the World Rugby rankings following their 27-13 defeat to England at Twickenham.

Wales' second defeat to their bitter rivals in less than three months has cost them 0.61 of a rating point, resulting in a one-place relegation from fifth to sixth, below Argentina in the pecking order.

England, despite their steady rise under the guidance of coach Eddie Jones, remain fourth but have strengthened their position with 0.62 of a point increase.

New Zealand still lead the way at the top of the list, followed by Australia and South Africa in second and third place respectively.
