Du Plessis to make Stormers debut

Daniel du Plessis will start at outside centre for the Stormers against the Cheetahs at Newlands on Saturday.

Du Plessis has been performning well for Western Province in the Currie Cup qualifiers and joins the starting lineup at the expense of Johnny Kotze, who drops to the bench. This change comes after captain Juan de Jongh's return from injury has been delayed by another week.

Among the forwards, Schalk Burger has not recovered from a foot injury sustained against the Bulls and is replaced by Sikhumbuzo Notshe at No 8. Lock JD Schickerling is drafted into the vacant spot on the bench.
