Lukhanyo Am and Thomas du Toit will make their Champions Cup debuts when the Sharks face Bordeaux at Stade Chaban-Delmas on Friday night.
Am is set to make his return off the bench following knee surgery, as Sharks director of rugby Neil Powell has largely stuck with the same lineup that beat Harlequins on Saturday.
The Springbok centre has completed his return to play and his presence later in the game will undoubtedly underline why he was nominated for the 2022 World Men’s Player of the Year award.
Following his ban, fellow Bok Du Toit replaces tighthead prop Carlu Sadie, with Ntuthuko Mchunu in for the suspended Ox Nche at loosehead the only other change to the starting XV.
