Former Wallabies back Morgan Turinui has urged Rugby Australia to snap up Eddie Jones, describing the move as a “no-brainer”.
It has been reported that Jones, who parted ways with the Roses with a 73% win record, is set to be approached by Rugby Australia to help the Wallabies at France 2023.
The former Japan coach was also previously linked to the USA Eagles job, which is now vacant after Gary Gold stepped down in the wake of failing to qualify for next year’s World Cup.

Turinui believes the Wallabies should accommodate both Jones and current head coach Dave Rennie.
“A technical advisor role, I think it’s a bit of a no-brainer,” the 40-year-old, who was part of the Australia team that lost the Rugby World Cup final in 2003, told Wide World of Sports.
“I like Dave Rennie, I think he’s the right guy for this World Cup campaign. Like the work he’s done. […]
“The important thing is having real clarity about who does what but in terms of a winning Wallabies team, I think he’s a guy that can help them achieve, help them be better at the World Cup.
“Eddie can perhaps bring a little edge that maybe they need. Eddie is one of the greatest living resources of rugby there is in the world.
“I think it’s a bit of a no brainer.”
