Morne Steyn will lead a heavily changed Vodacom Bulls team featuring only three other capped Springboks in their Champions Cup debut against Lyon in Pretoria on Saturday.
Bulls coach Jake White has surprisingly opted to field a starting lineup that contains none of the squad’s current Springboks, with the likes of Kurt-Lee Arendse, Canan Moodie and Elrigh Louw sitting out the match.
Instead the Bulls will be relying on the experience of captain Steyn and veteran forwards Bismarck du Plessis, Nizaam Carr and Lizo Gqoboka, who will make his 100th appearance from the bench.
The Bulls have also welcomed back to fitness Jacques du Plessis and the former Montpellier forward will wear the No 4 jersey on his return.
