Debutant Ricardo Duarttee was awarded a place in the World Sevens Series dream team from the 2022-23 Dubai leg, along with two Blitzboks teammates.
Duarttee, who has earned the nickname ‘Tricky Ricky’, scored four tries – including a brace versus Samoa – and kicked five conversions to help South Africa win a fourth title in the desert on the spin, and a 10th overall.
