John Dobson has revealed that one of the DHL Stormers’ most promising playmakers has been ruled out for the remainder of 2022.
Speaking during a team announcement for the Vodacom United Rugby Championship clash between the Stormers and Scarlets in Cape Town on Friday, Dobson confirmed that Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu returned from South Africa ‘A’ duty with a serious tibia injury.
Dobson said on Thursday that while the 20-year-old does not require surgery, he is expected to only be available again for the URC champions in “late January 2023”.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who scored 22 points in his first start for the Stormers in their URC win over Zebre in round four, earned his maiden Springbok callup with teammate Manie Libbok for the November tour to Europe.
In their absence, young Stormers flyhalf Kade Wolhuter will make his first appearance of the 2022-23 URC alongside Paul de Wet at halfback in a much-changed lineup for the Capetonians against Scarlets at Cape Town Stadium.
