The Sharks haven’t given up on adding World Cup-winning tighthead prop Vincent Koch to a Springbok-laden squad in Durban.
According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, talks between the parties have continued and are at an advanced stage, with both “very positive” that the 32-year-old will sign with the Sharks from 1 July, 2023.
The Bok anchor last week agreed to join French Top 14 side Stade Francais as a medical joker, which initially ended widespread speculation around his future.

Koch, who was without a team since departing embattled English Premiership club Wasps, was also reportedly in discussions with the Sale Sharks, and even visited its training facility.
But, reports in SA had linked the 38-capped World Cup with a move back home, as Rapport previously suggested he was being lined up as a replacement for fellow Bok Thomas du Toit, who is tipped to join Bath or Irish club Munster.
