The DHL Stormers awards evening belonged to flyhalf Manie Libbok and No 8 Evan Roos, the big winners at the ceremony alongside promising youngster Sacha Mngomezulu.
The Western Province Rugby Union hosted its annual awards ceremony at Kelvin Grove, Cape Town on Tuesday night, and the Stormers had plenty to reflect on with pride, including winning the inaugural Vodacom United Rugby Championship.
The 25-year-old Libbok was named Stormers Player of the Year, while Roos (22) was crowned the Stormers Players’ Player of the Year.

Damian Willemse received the BrightRock Needs-matched Award, for his selfless and unsung contributions, with WP captain Nama Xaba named the Player of the Year for the Currie Cup campaign.
Frans Malherbe, Steven Kitshoff, Brok Harris, Deon Fourie and Juan de Jongh were all honoured with special caps for making more than 100 appearances for the Stormers.

“The strength of our clubs, schools, women’s rugby and referees is a major point of pride and this whole environment plays a big role in the performance of our Stormers.
“It was fantastic to celebrate what has been achieved in the last year and we are looking forward to building on this in the future.”
