Dobbo’s Diary: Roaring to go

In a poor start to the year, the Australians lost a home Test series 2-1 to England, and it would not get much better in the Rugby Championship, winning only two games and losing four to end the competition placed third after beating Argentina on points difference.

Australia fixtures:
Scotland vs Australia (29 October, 7:30pm, BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh)
France vs Australia (5 November, 10pm, Stade de France, Paris)
Italy vs Australia (12 November, 3pm, Stadio Franchi, Florence)
Ireland vs Australia (19 November, 10pm, Aviva Stadium, Dublin)
Wales vs Australia (26 November, 5:15pm, Principality Stadium, Cardiff)

What happened when Australia played Scotland in 2021:

Argentina’s exploits have been hit and miss in 2022, winning four matches but losing five, leaving Los Pumas with a 44% win rate.

Argentina started with a bang, securing a sensational 2-1 home series victory over Scotland, and arguably the moment of their season would come in the Rugby Championship, beating the All Blacks 25-18 at Christchurch to secure a first victory in New Zealand over the hosts. However, they won just one of their remaining five Rugby Championship games (against Australia) and finished bottom of the log.

Argentina fixtures:
England vs Argentina (6 November, 4:15pm, Twickenham Stadium, London)
Wales vs Argentina (12 November, 7:30pm, Principality Stadium, Cardiff)
Scotland vs Argentina (19 November, 5:15pm, BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh).
