The Pumas take on the USA Falcons at Free State Stadium on Friday in a curtain-raiser to the Toyota Challenge showdown between the Cheetahs and Griquas.
Coached by former Springbok assistant coach Gary Gold, the USA is using the scrimmage against the Pumas to prepare for a four-team repechage 2023 Rugby World Cup qualifying tournament in Dubai.
Meanwhile the Cheetahs are set to add R250k to their haul if they beat Griquas in the final match of the Toyota Challenge. The Cheetahs have already bagged R500k with wins against the Bulls and USA Falcons earlier in the month, though they missed out on another 250k when they narrowly went down to Emerging Ireland.
The Pumas are looking for their second win after losing a close game against Emerging Ireland followed by a 27-20 win against Western Province XV.
